Kelsey Hatchitt is currently a senior at the George Washington University pursuing a B.A. in International Affairs with a minor in Public Health. Prior to coming to GW, Kelsey worked at University of Florida Health studying the public health impact of traumatic brain injuries. Following this, she worked at the Milken Institute studying the impact of conditional cash transfers on young girls in Malawi.
It was during a visit to Haiti that she realized the importance of sanitation in ensuring the success of public health initiatives. Encouraged by this trip, Kelsey built her academic experience around water and sanitation and is now writing her thesis on the impact of the 2010 earthquake on the development of sanitation infrastructure in Haiti
Benjamin Epstein is currently a junior at The George Washington University studying Marketing and Fine Arts. Alongside his passion for photography and film, which he began pursuing early in high school, he is bi-lingual in French and English, and has a deep interest in world cultures and languages.
Benjamin’s experience includes an internship this past summer at Hub Strategy and Communication, a multi-medium branding and advertising agency in his hometown of San Francisco, as well as numerous projects with creative teams across California including John Russo Photography studio and Armada Skis Inc.. Through classes and events at GW and around the District of Columbia, he has expanded his interests towards social advocacy and non-profit branding development.
